Description
Marigold is a flower that grows wild. The word marigold comes from the Latin “calendae”, calendar and means that it blooms in any month of the year.
Calendula is also commonly known as “marigold” because of its many uses.
It contains essential oils, flavonoids, saponins, mucilages and substances such as calendin.
These active ingredients give it certain properties such as: anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, healing, detoxifying, frugicide… Especially for topical use on skin and mucous membrane conditions, wounds, inflamed and dry skin, insect and jellyfish stings, sores, bruises, contusions and even to alleviate solar discomfort.
